Job Overview The Shahbaz Firm, APC is seeking a Full-Time Bilingual Receptionist/Legal Assistant to assist at an Immigration and Personal Injury law office. At least one year experience in an immigration law firm Responsibilities Experience in preparing Forms I-485, I-130, I-765, I-131 and I-589. Experience with consular processing of cases. Conduct thorough legal research and compile relevant information to support case arguments. Manage client calendars, scheduling appointments, and ensuring timely follow-ups. Maintain accurate records of case progress, including data entry into legal management software. Communicate effectively with clients, medical professionals, and other parties involved in cases while demonstrating excellent phone etiquette. Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests under the supervision of attorneys. Ensure compliance with court deadlines and filing requirements. Provide administrative support as needed, including managing correspondence and maintaining organized files. Requirements Communicating with clients; · Translating documents from Spanish to English and English to Spanish; · Preparing client declarations and letters to clients; · Case management; · Maintaining the office calendar; · Helping with immigration and personal injury matters; · Coordinating documents related to applications for immigration or citizenship, including declarations, petitions, applications; · General office management. Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Google Workspace and other relevant software applications. Excellent calendar management skills to coordinate appointments efficiently. This position is for an appearance attorney to appear at general settings for a flat fee. The appearances are typically uncontested routine civil court proceedings in civil county courts. The fee it typically $125 per appearance which may be multiple appearances per day or week. Some trial and court experience is required. Must be a licensed attorney in Florida.
