Build-Back Technician Responsibilities Finish carpentry skills I.E. ability to install trim (casing, base, crown)  doors, & Installation of cabinetry. Flooring install experience is not necessary but helpful. Drywall, repairs & painting, must be able to tie into existing drywall and match textures.   Ability to read and follow project scopes, Ability to document projects and progress with daily updates to the office. Ability to perform basic rough carpentry I.E. basic framing repairs, fence repairs, siding replacement etc. Electrical and plumbing experience not required but helpful.   Qualifications/Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in the duties listed above. Reliable work truck, with valid California driver's license and a clean DMV record. Must be a hard worker, punctual, and reliable. Ability to work 40+ hours per week, including weekends and on-call rotations. Must be available for emergency response work after-hours and on weekends. Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions and procedures. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Spanish is a plus (English Required) Must Maintain a professional appearance due to client interaction. Provide exceptional customer service with empathy and understanding during a stressful time. Work safely at heights, following all safety protocols and using proper personal protective equipment (PPE). Follow all applicable OSHA, and local safety regulations for hazardous materials handling. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Needs to meet deadlines and to be detail oriented. * Maintains service operations by using diagnostic tools to test, inspect and maintain vehicle components to complete preventive maintenance such as engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation and changes, wheel balancing, replacing filters. * Maintain vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints; conducting the inspections; repairing engine failures; repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; replacing parts and components; repairing body damage. * Verifies vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives, adjusting controls and systems. * Complies with state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards. * Makes sure to staff maintains vehicle appearance by overseeing the cleaning, washing, and painting. * Maintains vehicle records by recording service and repairs in CRM Databases. * Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs and ordering parts. * Contains costs by using warranty, evaluating service and parts options. * Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt. * Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications. * Accomplishes maintenance and organization mission by completing related results as needed. * Perform quality inspections prior to returning the vehicle to the customer and to know and understand equity and values and be able to explain depreciation to the customer. * Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. * Deliver vehicles to customers * Review and analyze actions at the end of each day, week, and month to determine how to better utilize time and plan more effectively.
