Position: Lead Wood Finisher Job Description: Interbay Wood and Metal is a high-craft custom Cabinet and furniture shop looking to hire a finisher with three to five years of direct experience in a production environment. Interbay Wood and Metal, supports architecturally significant residential and commercial projects, providing custom kitchens, casework, stairwells, soaking tubs, bars, furniture, doors, and other specialty objects. Our wood shop is FSC certified. Candidate Requirements: • 3-5 years of finishing experience in a production environment. • Strong attention to detail. • Experience with color matching and adjusting tints/ shade coats. • Bleaching and cerusing. • Refined standards for quality, craft, aesthetics. • Perform prep surface pre-treatment, conditioning, and cleaning as required (sanding, chemically, mechanically) to prepare wood and/ or metal and surfaces for stain, clearcoat, paint, or patina application. • Monitor quality throughout finishing process steps and report issues to leadership as they arise. • Excellent time management, problem solving, planning, and judgment skills. • Excellent communication skills, including asking questions and finding teachable moments. • Must be team player with exceptional work ethic always looking to improve. • Experience with air assisted, HVLP and gravity fed spray equipment. • Cleanliness. • Ability to establish priorities, goals, deadlines and meet them. • Ability to be flexible, shifting priorities and projects as needed. • Interest in growing a career at Interbay. We were very happy with our resident Ranch manager, but he is leaving us to become an apprentice to a fencing contractor. As a result, Walking U Ranch LLC has opening for a ranch manager/caretaker, to live at Ranch. Compensation depends on applicant's skills, experience and qualifications. Ranch pays hourly, for hours worked, on a W-2 basis. Ranch provides house for manager/caretaker (and family) to live in, as part of compensation. We prefer resident ranch manager to work for Ranch full time. But it is possible to do the necessary Ranch work, and have a second, part time, job outside Ranch, and Ranch is open to that. Manager/caretaker feeds Ranch horses 2 x day; and feeds cattle herd hay, daily. Manager/caretaker checks water troughs that water cattle, to be sure filled; fixes PVC water water pipes that break; checks on cattle herd; repairs fences on Ranch; supervises hay delivery to Ranch storage barn by hay contractor, moves hay for Ranch horses from Ranch storage barn, to Ranch horse barn; splits firewood with Ranch's diesel powered wood splitter; does additional chores/maintenance as assigned by Ranch.
