The Lead Painter is responsible for overseeing and executing high-quality residential painting projects from preparation to final finish. This role combines hands-on painting expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction. The Lead Painter will mentor crew members, enforce safety and quality protocols, and serve as the on-site point of contact for clients and management. Key Responsibilities: Painting & Production • Perform all phases of interior and exterior painting, including preparation, priming, brushing, rolling, and spraying. • Match, mix, and apply paints, stains, varnishes, and coatings with precision. • Ensure surfaces are properly prepared (caulking, sanding, patching, masking, etc.) to achieve professional finishes. • Maintain cleanliness and organization of job sites and tools. Leadership & Supervision • Lead, train, and supervise painters and helpers on assigned projects. • Delegate tasks and monitor quality and productivity. • Provide guidance on best practices, safe use of equipment, and proper painting techniques. • Motivate and support team members to achieve project goals.
