Peter Lucas Project Management invests in people, community, and cutting-edge technology to provide gold standard project delivery. We are currently looking for Superintendents (across all disciplines) to join our team. As a Superintendent, you will play a key role in supporting project execution from design through to construction. You will work closely with contractors, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to specification. This role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge, and the ability to manage both people and processes in dynamic site environments. Duties and Responsibilities: Review engineering deliverables and provide constructability feedback to ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and fit for purpose. Participate in project schedule reviews and cost forecasting exercises to support accurate planning and execution. Drive, coordinate, and support contractors on site to ensure schedules are met while adhering to engineering documentation (drawings, specifications, etc.). Perform field engineering tasks and coordinate design/technical issues with the Engineer of Record. Collaborate with QA/QC contractors to ensure required samples, tests, and results are completed on time to avoid construction delays. Participate in claim management, helping to resolve issues efficiently. Review and validate contractor invoices, approving for payment where appropriate. Serve as a safety ambassador on site—leading by example in line-out meetings, inspections, and Visible Felt Leadership (VFL) activities while supporting and coaching workers on safety practices. Act as a liaison with regulatory bodies during inspections and site visits. We appreciate all applicants' interest; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted. Requirements Proven experience as a Superintendent or similar role in heavy industrial, mining, construction, or oil & gas projects. Previous experience successfully delivering Mining, Crushing, ADR, and HLP projects. Strong knowledge of construction methods, engineering principles, and field practices across multiple disciplines. Understanding of MSHA requirements and the ability to be an ambassador of safety on site. Deep understanding of construction sequencing. Mechanical-specific: experience erecting and commissioning 3-stage crushing circuits. Electrical-specific: familiarity with HV, MV, and LV systems (55kV and below) and previous experience interfacing with public utilities. Experience reviewing engineering designs for constructability and fit-for-purpose solutions. Ability to coordinate and manage contractors, subcontractors, and on-site personnel effectively. Knowledge of QA/QC processes, including testing, inspections, and documentation requirements. Experience with project scheduling, cost forecasting, and progress reporting. Strong understanding of safety management, regulations, and the ability to lead by example on site. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to resolve technical and operational issues in the field. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with engineers, contractors, regulatory bodies, and project stakeholders. Experience in claim management, reviewing contractor invoices, and validating work for payment. Ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environments and handle multiple priorities simultaneously. Post-secondary education in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline is preferred. Relevant certifications (e.g., First Aid, H2S, WHMIS, Construction Safety Training System) are an asset. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
