If so, New Horizons is looking for an engaging Life Skills Instructor to join our team. New Horizons is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving individuals with special needs. With over 60 years of experience, we are committed to enhancing their quality of life and promoting their independence and inclusion in the community. In this role, you will be responsible for providing hands-on instruction and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in various life skills areas. Your Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized training programs based on each individual's goals and needs. Teach essential life skills such as personal hygiene, home maintenance, meal planning and preparation, money management, and community navigation. Assist individuals in developing social skills, communication skills, and problem-solving abilities. Provide support and encouragement to foster independence and self-confidence. Track progress and document outcomes for each individual. We are looking for a dynamic and engaging instructor who can create a positive and inclusive learning environment for our individuals.
