Make a difference every day by joining CCRES as an Early Head Start Home Vistor! SUMMARY: The Early Head Start Home Visitor meets with parents weekly, implementing the selected curriculum in order to ensure that families have adequate support to ensure the health and development of their child and family.  The Early Head Start Home Visitor also coordinates socialization opportunities for families and all comprehensive supports needed. Full-time 260 day position, 8 hours per day, PTO The hourly pay rate is $23.91 - $29.32 based on years of related experience RESPONSIBILITIES: Home Visits Create and maintain a respectful partnership with families. Drive to family home and deliver health, educational, nutritional and child growth and development information to parents via weekly meetings. Coordinate with parents to ensure that immunizations, health screenings, and nutrition assessments are complete and necessary follow up occurs. Complete family partnership agreements, developmental screenings and all other required assessments with families in a timely manner. Assist and support families in locating resources and scheduling appointments with community resources that best meets their needs. Provide support in parent and child activities that encourages developmentally appropriate activities for the changing needs of infants and toddlers. Socialization Activities Plan socialization activities twice monthly that are designed to meet the needs of all children including those with special needs, those who are gifted, and those who are culturally diverse. Integrate all Head Start components into classroom time. Develop and utilize lesson plans, which promote the social-emotional, physical, and cognitive development of Early Head Start children with regard for the family culture and dynamics. Individualize activities to reflect the student’s unique strengths and needs. Provide an atmosphere and activities to encourage parental involvement and encourage parents as their child’s first teacher. Planning, Preparation, and Documentation Review each child’s goals and develop individual plans designed to promote current learning and attend to nutritional, health, and social issues. Maintain accurate paper and electronic records inclusive of health information, assessments, IFSP documentation, screening instruments, anecdotal observations, and other required forms. Parent Meetings and Coordination With the Head Start Family Service Workers, organize and facilitate Parent Committee meetings that include parent education and information relative to current Head Start policies and curriculum. Coordinate opportunities to support education of parents as their child’s first teacher. Staff Trainings and Miscellaneous Participate actively in staff meetings, trainings, and activities as requested. Perform other duties as assigned.
