We're seeking an experienced Bar Manager to oversee daily operations at our establishment. This position offers flexible hours with on-site presence required daily, either partial or full days. The ideal candidate will combine operational excellence with hands-on bartending skills and strong leadership abilities. As Bar Manager, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining our reputation for exceptional service and quality beverages. About George's George's Bar & Spritz is a porch bar at the Curry Mansion Inn, inspired by the Amalfi Coast. It offers a limited breakfast and coffee service, as well as a full bar featuring a daily selection of specialty cocktails and spritzes. Responsibilities Oversee all daily operations of the bar, ensuring smooth service and maintaining high standards Conduct comprehensive staff training programs and manage employee scheduling to optimize service and control labor costs Handle inventory management, prevent stock shortages, and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers Work with events teams and planners to execute food and beverage package execution. Generate and analyze detailed sales and labor reports to identify trends and areas for improvement Bartend a minimum of three (3) shifts per week and provide backup support when needed during busy periods Resolve escalated guest concerns professionally and support the team during high-volume periods to ensure service quality Review food waste analytics relative to occupancy and sales to implement effective waste reduction strategies Conduct weekly inventory counts and manage ordering processes to maintain optimal stock levels Develop and implement promotional events to drive sales and increase customer engagement Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and liquor regulations Requirements Certified Food Manager license Must complete course compliant with the Florida Responsible Vendor Act within 30 days of hire Minimum 3 years of previous bar management experience in a similar establishment Strong bartending skills with extensive knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, spirits, wines, and beers Excellent leadership and communication abilities with proven team development experience Proficiency in inventory management and cost control techniques to maximize profitability Experience with staff training, scheduling, and performance management Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of POS systems and inventory management software Relevant certifications in food safety and alcohol service Benefits Full benefits package including health, dental, vision, and short & long term disability coverage. 401(k) Plan with discretionary match Paid Time Off Policy
