The Opportunity Slows Bar BQ Ann Arbor is now interviewing experienced Line Cooks to join our new location at 207 E Washington. It is your job to make sure that our guests receive the consistent, high quality food that we have built our business on. You will become a part of the team serving some of the best food in Michigan. Responsibilities: Executes customer orders quickly and efficiently providing consistently excellent quality in all meals served. Properly measures and portions all food items according to standards. Complies with all rules, policies and procedures. Work with the kitchen team in preparing, cooking, and storing food, as well as in maintaining kitchen and storage facilities in sanitary condition. Utilizes kitchen equipment to prepare food items such as: knives, slicers, whips, pots, pans, warmers, steamers, grills, ovens, etc. Ensures and records proper food temperatures. Ensures all food is stored correctly. Ensures freshness and quality of all menu items and packages all products to proper specifications. Completes line check procedure for each shift worked. Performs opening, closing and side work duties as instructed and according to proper guidelines. Keeps workstation, coolers and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked. Communicates with Kitchen management about stock needs. Follows and upholds all health codes and sanitation regulations. Uses waste control guidelines and records all waste on the Waste Sheet. Completes end of shift Hot Count inventory and other opening/closing duties in accordance with company checklists and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum of 1 year previous experience in a back-of-the-house foodservice position preferred. Participation in a culinary program is preferred. ServSafe certification is preferred. Ability to read and comprehend prep sheets and recipes. Basic math skills; ability to understand, calculate and follow recipe measurements and proportions. This is a remote-based position located in the Phoenix, AZ or Chicago, IL area. The incumbent must reside within one of these territories and be located within 45 minutes of a major airport hub to facilitate travel up to 70% of the time for site support, customer training, and corporate meetings. Position Summary The Clinical Specialist plays a pivotal role in training and supporting users to ensure our products are applied safely, effectively, and with optimal patient outcomes.
