Job description Key Responsibilities Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, reporting, and auditing. Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and applicable aerospace and defense regulations. Lead month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting. Coordinate and lead internal and external financial audits. Supervise and mentor finance team members, fostering a high-performance culture and promoting professional development. Ensure compliance with all government contract regulations, particularly within defense and aerospace sectors (e.g., FAR, CAS). Oversee implementation and optimization of accounting systems (SAP experience is a plus) to ensure robust financial tracking and reporting. Qualifications Required: CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification. Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting and finance, with a strong background in defense/aerospace manufacturing or related industries. Comprehensive knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance within the aerospace and defense sector. Proven leadership abilities and team management experience. Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with executive leadership and cross-functional teams. Preferred: MBA (Master of Business Administration). Proficiency with SAP or similar ERP/accounting systems. Experience with government contracting and regulatory compliance (e.g., FAR, CAS).
