We are seeking a skilled, detail-oriented Fluid Power Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for assembling, repairing, testing, and maintaining hydraulic HPUs, pumps, and related components, as well as assembling, crimping, and testing flexible hose assemblies in accordance with engineering specifications and safety standards. The ideal candidate has hands-on hydraulic experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to quality and safety. Job Description Interpret hydraulic schematics, mechanical drawings, and bills of materials. Assemble air- and electric-operated hydraulic power units, including reservoirs, pumps, valves, gauges, hoses, and filtration components. Set up and operate manual or CNC tube bending machines; select proper tooling and ensure bends meet tolerances. Assemble hose fittings and components using crimping machines, cutters, and other tools. Disassemble, clean, inspect, and repair hydraulic HPUs and pumps. Diagnose issues and perform component rebuilds to manufacturer specifications. Replace or refurbish defective parts such as seals, valves, and bearings. Conduct system pressure and leak testing. Maintain accurate documentation and follow safety protocols. Collaborate with engineering and sales on custom builds. The F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO) delivers F-35 capabilities and support through several Program Management Offices (PMOs). The F-35 Combat Data Systems (CDS) PMO delivers the infrastructure, tools, and labs that produce mission data for the F 35 Air System, while overseeing lifecycle cost, schedule, and performance. The F-35 CDS PMO is responsible for the F-35 MPE and the F-35 Joint Reprogramming Enterprise (JRE). The MPE is a comprehensive tool suite (software and hardware) designed to deliver the required capabilities to support F-35 Mission Planning. The MPE integrates JRE products and other sources to orchestrate the data required for combat operations including Air Tasking Orders; aircraft capabilities; threats; targets; terrain; weather; jamming; deception; countermeasures; communications; sensors; weapons; employment tactics; navigation; routes; and asset coordination. Based on where MPE team is in their development process, developing requirements and reviewing/developing high-level system design documents will be a big part. Essential Functions: Reads and understands blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations, and setup requirements. Measures, marks, and scribes’ dimensions and reference points on material or work piece as guides for subsequent machining and fabrication. Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines, such as saws, drills, grinders, and shapers. Fabricates, assembles, builds and shapes materials to prescribed measurements and tolerances using cutting tools, drills, sanders, mixers and other process equipment. Selects specified materials and practices first in, first out inventory operations for perishable materials.
