1 Resource Group is currently looking for an Extruder Operator for Manufacturing Plant in Baytown, TX. The Extruder Operator is responsible for the operation of the online extruder(s), Twin Screw Extruders, operation of quality testing equipment, the making of blends, set up of feed for the lines and finished product packaging and storage. Job responsibilities also include quality testing, recording and proper response to testing results. Additional duties required are housekeeping, the maximization of throughput and yield and the ability to assist in supporting areas when necessary. This role will report directly to the Production Team Lead and will interact with all departments across the business. Work will be a mixture of reactive and planned tasks prioritized by the Site Leadership Team. You will be responsible for plant operations to minimize production impacts and enhance reliability, ensuring that production runs smoothly and efficiently. Your attention to detail, teamwork, and commitment to safety will be essential in maintaining high-quality masterbatch production. Key Responsibilities: Operate single and twin-screw extruders to produce masterbatch products. Set up and adjust machines according to job specifications (temperatures, feed rates, die tooling). Monitor production runs, making real-time adjustments to maintain quality and throughput. Conduct visual and physical inspections of finished products for color, consistency, and defects. Complete batch production records, material usage reports, and downtime logs. Ensure proper blending and feeding of raw materials into extruders. Perform routine maintenance and minor troubleshooting of equipment. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work area. Collaborate with Quality and Maintenance teams to resolve issues and optimize output. Report equipment or process abnormalities immediately to supervisors Pay $22-24hr Requirements High school diploma or GED required. 1–3 years of experience in extrusion or plastics manufacturing preferred. Familiarity with extrusion machinery and polymer processing is a plus. Ability to read and interpret production orders, work instructions, and measurement tools. Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude. Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced environment. About the Role:  We are seeking a CNC Mill-Lathe Machinist to join our 2nd shift team. CNC Machinist III - 2nd Shift
JOB SUMMARY This CNC Machinist will Operate machine tools to machine metallic and nonmetallic workpieces for the Medical and Aerospace Industry by performing the following duties below. This position is on 2nd Shift. Machines we operate: Mills: Kitamura, Mikron, Haas and Matsuura mills. 3-axis vertical, 4-axis horizontal, and 5-axis machines, many with multiple work pallets Manual Machines: Bridgeport style mills, engine lathes, and surface grinders ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Read and interpret process plans, blueprints, and part sketches to determine necessary machining, dimensional specifications, set up, and operating requirements. Ability to edit pre-written programs. Ability to edit and troubleshoot programs for process improvements. Observe numerical control displays on the control panel and compare with the data on the process plan to verify dimensional adjustments, feed rates, and speeds of machining cuts. Inspects first run pieces and spot checks succeeding pieces for conformance to specifications using operation certification knowledge. Utilizes various types of inspection instruments to check work per print. Completes necessary job-related paperwork to include tags, inspection documents, and production log. Perform basic equipment maintenance: proper coolant levels, filters, fan operation, cleans machine, etc. Use manual machines as needed to make work holding fixtures and other small quantity parts. Ability to operate multiple machines simultaneously. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for setting up and operating stamping press to produce products in accordance with customer specifications and instructions. Completes mechanical tasks associated with die set-up, adjustments, breakdown, coil changes, die changeovers, etc. Performs in-press troubleshooting. Follows safety policies and procedures, including lock out tag out procedures. Performs assigned work to time standards and quality and safety expectations. Makes routine decisions and use problem solving to troubleshoot and makes minor repairs to press/die malfunctions or issues or seeks further assistance from supervisor or maintenance staff. Ability to operate overhead crane and material handling equipment including forklifts. Ability to read work instructions and utilize measurement tools. Other duties and projects may be assigned based on the operational objectives of the company. Ideal candidate should have High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one year of progressive stamping press experience and/or training in automotive/manufacturing environment is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Overhead crane and forklift experience are preferred. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
