1 Resource Group is currently looking for an Extruder Operator for Manufacturing Plant in Baytown, TX. The Extruder Operator is responsible for the operation of the online extruder(s), Twin Screw Extruders, operation of quality testing equipment, the making of blends, set up of feed for the lines and finished product packaging and storage. Job responsibilities also include quality testing, recording and proper response to testing results. Additional duties required are housekeeping, the maximization of throughput and yield and the ability to assist in supporting areas when necessary. This role will report directly to the Production Team Lead and will interact with all departments across the business. Work will be a mixture of reactive and planned tasks prioritized by the Site Leadership Team. You will be responsible for plant operations to minimize production impacts and enhance reliability, ensuring that production runs smoothly and efficiently. Your attention to detail, teamwork, and commitment to safety will be essential in maintaining high-quality masterbatch production. Key Responsibilities: Operate single and twin-screw extruders to produce masterbatch products. Set up and adjust machines according to job specifications (temperatures, feed rates, die tooling). Monitor production runs, making real-time adjustments to maintain quality and throughput. Conduct visual and physical inspections of finished products for color, consistency, and defects. Complete batch production records, material usage reports, and downtime logs. Ensure proper blending and feeding of raw materials into extruders. Perform routine maintenance and minor troubleshooting of equipment. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work area. Collaborate with Quality and Maintenance teams to resolve issues and optimize output. Report equipment or process abnormalities immediately to supervisors Pay $22-24hr Requirements High school diploma or GED required. 1–3 years of experience in extrusion or plastics manufacturing preferred. Familiarity with extrusion machinery and polymer processing is a plus. Ability to read and interpret production orders, work instructions, and measurement tools. Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude. Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced environment. Job Title Mold Setter/Technician Location: 18 1/2 Mile Road, Sterling Heights, MI Job Type: Full-Time Shift: 2nd Shift (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM) Wage: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour, plus a $0.75 afternoon shift premium Position Summary We are seeking a skilled Injection Molding Technician to support production operations through mold changes, equipment maintenance, material handling, and process troubleshooting. This hands-on role plays a critical part in ensuring manufacturing efficiency, product quality, and operational safety in a fast-paced injection molding environment. Key Responsibilities Perform mold changes efficiently and document mold change times. Maintain and manage regrind material systems. Change materials as needed and clean oil and water from work areas. Assist with troubleshooting and adjustments on injection molding machines, including robotic and end-of-arm tooling. Support machine operators and provide coverage during breaks. Work with maintenance staff to assist in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs. Monitor and assess molding processes for quality and consistency. Maintain cleanliness of the plant and follow all safety and environmental procedures. Verify and complete Process Verification (PV) documentation as required. JOB SUMMARY This CNC Machinist will Operate machine tools to machine metallic and nonmetallic workpieces for the Medical and Aerospace Industry by performing the following duties below. This position is on 2nd Shift. Machines we operate: Mills: Kitamura, Mikron, Haas and Matsuura mills. 3-axis vertical, 4-axis horizontal, and 5-axis machines, many with multiple work pallets Manual Machines: Bridgeport style mills, engine lathes, and surface grinders ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Read and interpret process plans, blueprints, and part sketches to determine necessary machining, dimensional specifications, set up, and operating requirements. Ability to edit pre-written programs. Ability to edit and troubleshoot programs for process improvements. Observe numerical control displays on the control panel and compare with the data on the process plan to verify dimensional adjustments, feed rates, and speeds of machining cuts. Inspects first run pieces and spot checks succeeding pieces for conformance to specifications using operation certification knowledge. Utilizes various types of inspection instruments to check work per print. Completes necessary job-related paperwork to include tags, inspection documents, and production log. Perform basic equipment maintenance: proper coolant levels, filters, fan operation, cleans machine, etc. Use manual machines as needed to make work holding fixtures and other small quantity parts. Ability to operate multiple machines simultaneously. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High school diploma or GED. 5+ Years of Experience Ability to read and interpret GD&T blueprints Experience with precision measuring tools Manual and CNC machining experience Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.   PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS Regularly required to stand and reach the duration of shift, 8-10 hours. Ensure that the compound is entering the extruder continuously and smoothly. Ensure all dimensions are within product specifications. Trouble shoot extrusion process & interact with Maintenance in resolution of equipment problems. Make regular checks on the water level in the cooling tank and ensure that the profile is centered on the hot air tunnel belt. Ensure samples are available for the Q.C. Inspector and measurements are done to the specified frequencies. Pack or cut to the cut length specifications the extruded profile as instructed. Ensure printing and logo is correct and is in accordance with the drawing. Follow quality procedures, document, and record all required process control information. Must be eager to learn, excited to work on a team, and have good written and verbal communication skills Other duties as the need arises and/or assigned. Qualifications & Experience Must be 18 years of age or older. High School diploma or equivalent experience. Must be able to use or can be trained on various types of measuring tools related to our stamping and gasket manufacturing process. Demonstrates the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to read, write and comprehend sophisticated instructions, correspondence, and reports. Requires good mobility and involves considerable lifting (less than 35 lbs.), pulling, bending, standing and walking. Working conditions The incumbent in this role spends almost 100% of their time in the plant environment, which may involve varying degrees of physical labor such as standing and walking for long periods of time, lifting, pushing and pulling. Job Title: Heat Treat Operator Furnaces: 4 Location: Warren MI Shift: 1st  Pay: 23.31 to start. Pay raises coming soon due to union negotiations Summary Will perform operations in the Heat Treat area as assigned. Essential Duties and Responsibilities ·         Conduct light duty maintenance, to have furnaces available for processing work orders (confined space work will be subcontracted to vendor base).  Maintenance includes maintaining flow scopes in good order and minor electrical trouble shooting and repairs – i.e replacing heating elements.  ·         Read work tickets generated in the lab  ·         Group parts to be processed together as permissible  ·         Make up loads to process in the furnaces, either manually or using a hoist  ·         Using a roller cart, transfer a tray with a basket of parts on it, to the furnaces and push the load into the furnaces.  ·         Set the furnace cycle, times, atmospheres and monitor the progress of each cycle in each furnace.  ·         When the cycle is completed, reverse the motions to unload parts back into the original containers.  ·         Copper plate small parts (i.e. retainers), through progressive tank dipping on the plating line and dip strip the copper when the cycle is completed.  ·         Charge and discharge the chromizing furnace once per day in the moor – this requires loosening and then retightening 8 bolts on each of the two chromizing furnaces.  ·         Maintaining appropriate documentation with each work order, such as signing off furnace processing charts.  ·         Occasionally putting parts into the -100 degree F. freezer.  ·         Shot peening of retainers  Requirements ENVIRONMENTAL CHEMICAL CONTACTS:                  In the Heat Treat Department, employees come in short duration contacts with the following chemicals:  ·         Quench oils, lubricating oils, tri-valent chrome (solid chrome), zirconium, ammonium iodide, hexavalent chromium (chromic acid), sulfuric acid, cupric sulfate, endothermic gas, natural gas, anhydrous ammonia.    Furnace elevated temperatures, up to 1750 degree F.    Critical Competencies Demonstrated mechanical aptitude Ability to understand and follow work instructions Basic computer skills in Microsoft Word & Excel ·         This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).  As a result, all applicants must be U.S. Persons within the meaning of ITAR.  ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee. ·         This position is subject to policies and procedures set forth by the State Department and applicants who do not meet such requirements will not be eligible for the position.
