Job Title: Surface Grinder Location: Sterling Heights, MI Shift: 1st Shift Pay: $18 - $19/hr to start Position Overview: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Surface Grinder to join our team in Sterling Heights, MI. The Surface Grinder will be responsible for grinding, polishing, and finishing metal or other materials to meet specified requirements. This position requires the ability to operate grinding equipment and ensure high-quality results. Key Responsibilities: Grind, polish, and finish parts according to specifications Inspect parts for defects and ensure they meet quality standards Operate surface grinding tools safely and efficiently Clean and maintain tools and work area to ensure safety and cleanliness Follow all safety guidelines and wear proper protective equipment Assist in other tasks as needed by the supervisor Requirements Maintain accurate records of work performed, if required Qualifications: Previous experience using surface grinding tools is a plus, but not required Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production goals Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Must be able to stand for extended periods of time Benefits Health Benefits w Dental/Vision PTO Holiday Pay Much More

Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED. 2-5 years of experience in grinding, preferred. Familiarity with basic hand tools. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Strong attention to detail. Physical Requirements: Excellent visual acuity for detailed tasks. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted. Capable of standing for the duration of the shift.
