As a valued member of our team, you will draw on your prior experience in defending New York litigation cases from inception through trial and appeal. Your responsibilities will include direct client communication, preparing and filing legal documents (pleadings, discovery, motions, briefs), taking/defending depositions, making court appearances, handling ADR, trial preparation, and trials/appeals. Requirements The preferred candidates will have at least 2 years’ insurance defense/tort experience defending NYLL/construction (personal injury and defect), premises liability, trucking/auto/rideshare, dram shop, and other types of first and third-party personal and commercial lines matters. Admission to both NY State and Federal Courts required. Trial experience and ability to manage a caseload independently a plus. Proficiency in NY e-filing; MS Office Suite; time/billing software; and discovery management software tools. This opportunity is best suited for a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational and time management skills who is looking for a positive work/life balance. Accuracy, ability to work independently on multiple assignments, and attention to detail are essential.
