Description

Performs various tasks associated in production of concrete products and has a close working relationship with the production Supervisor/crews. Will perform production duties in a safe and timely manner by operating various tools and equipment to complete the different job functions from a predetermined schedule. Performs a variety of duties including but not limited to: Chipping, scrapping, and finishing concrete using pneumatic chisels, power grinders, or hand tools. ▪ Assisting as needed in setting up the forms for pre-pour inspections, removing excess concrete, and cleaning forms. Installing the correct size rebar and wire spacers, knockouts, rebar, mesh, etc.; bolting and unbolting forms with hand and/or power tools to prepare for stripping operations. Helps as needed in placement of concrete into the forms after passing pre-pour inspection; consolidates concrete in accordance with the quality control procedures. The Eames Institute is in search of a Facilities Technician to oversee the maintenance of our 15,000-square-foot (and growing) campus in Richmond, CA. Reporting to the Facilities Director, this role is responsible for ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for our staff, guests, and collections. The Facilities Technician will play a key role in maintaining the overall safety, security, cleanliness, and functionality of our campus, which currently operates out of two buildings and will soon expand into a third. The site includes workspaces for Eames Institute staff as well as warehouse spaces for the Eames Archives.
