We are looking to recruit an experienced Maintenance Technician to work for our New York based operations. The ideal person is a stickler for detail, proactive, skilled in general maintenance tasks, and thoughtful as to ensure that the property is continuously in pristine condition for our guests. The role is primarily responsible for completing interior installations or repairs to brand standards as well as keeping operations managers informed of potential repairs, actions being taken, and the status of any major maintenance projects. What you will focus on: Installation of furniture, lights, home appliances, wall mounting of mirror, artwork as required based on furnishing standards Conduct repairs as needed, (carpentry, handyman tasks, light painting tasks). Troubleshoot & repair where possible. Where applicable, arrange a repair with a specialist appliance engineer. Conduct inspections and provide a snag list for the apartments. Liaise with contractors on maintenance tasks (appliances, plumbing, electrical work, etc) that are specialized if needed, hand over, communication, and follow up checks Assist guests with maintenance/technical issues (electrical, plumbing, carpentry related to their stay at the property in order to support a positive guest experience Assist in delivering missing items to clients, such as glassware, lighting, small appliances, etc Requirements What we are looking for: Experience (at least 5 years) as a General Maintenance / Repairs Technician or in a similar role Proven experience in repairing Home Appliances Experience in spare parts and knowledge of suppliers to source them. Eye for details, and ability to inspect apartments and provide accurate reports/snag list. Strong knowledge of maintenance/technical procedures and practices Client-oriented with very good communication skills Comfortability travelling to multiple locations in the New York Metropolitan Area in same working day Flexibility in schedule and ability to attend to emergencies as needed. We are a custom design build general contractor and we do alot of outdoor living projects like building decks, concrete work, carpentry, masonry, framing, foundations, landscape etc. We are also expanding into larger projects like custom homes, etc. We need a helper to get projects done faster. Potential to learn many skills, different trades and obtain new skills. Great working conditions outdoors in the fresh air and getting exercise. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of complex electrical and mechanical systems in our manufacturing facility. You will work independently to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of our equipment, helping us maintain our high standards of quality and productivity. Key Responsibilities Perform pre-operations equipment checks to make sure that all motors and equipment are ready for operations.  Perform equipment lubrication as needed. Maintain records of all equipment lubricated.  Maintain preventive maintenance records.  Report equipment conditions to Maintenance Manager.  Assist to complete production by working in the line as instructed by Maintenance Manager. Keep up with daily used of baking ovens  Maintain inventories of tools and supplies. Trouble shoot repair and maintenance needs on high temp ovens  Maintain shop area clean and organized.  Perform any other duties as required by Plant Manager and Maintenance Manager.  Maintain complete plant cleanliness. Requirements High school or Trade school study in Machinery, Industrial Machinery Mechanics, HVAC Mechanics, etc., and/or 3-5 years minimum experience as a maintenance mechanic or an equivalent combination of education and experience which would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the assigned work. Thorough knowledge of industrial and production type machines   Must possess own tools Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
