About the Position of Automotive Mechanic As Mavis's leaders in undercar repairs, our Automotive Mechanics are trusted to inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services on customers' vehicles. Mavis's Automotive Mechanics perform a wide variety of undercar repairs, including brakes, struts, and shocks. Automotive Mechanics are also responsible for completing state-mandated inspections, changing oil and filters, checking fluids, replacing worn parts, and dismounting, mounting, rotating, and balancing tires. SUPERVISION Works under the general supervision of the SAT Manager. POSITION OVERVIEW We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Field Service Representative (FSR) to support Site acceptance testing (SAT) and Commissioning work on our wastewater treatment systems. The ideal candidate brings a solid foundation in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, clear communication skills, and the ability to work independently in the field under varying conditions. TYPICAL DUTIES PERFORMED Typical duties may include, but are not limited to, the following. Tasks may vary based on project needs. Technical Skills • Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics for high and low voltage (480VAC down to 24VDC) control systems. • Hands-on troubleshooting and diagnostics of 4-20MA instrumentation, motor control, actuators, and electrical panels. • Comfort working safely in live high- and low-voltage environments. • Familiarity with PLC controls and ability to communicate effectively with programmers to troubleshoot system faults. • Understanding of VFDs, pressure transducers, float switches, and level sensors. • Ability to perform I/O testing, system startup, loop checks, and verify sensor operation in the field. SAT & Commissioning Work • On-site system commissioning including operational checks and functional testing of mechanical and electrical components. • Completion of SAT and commissioning documentation, punch list generation, and follow-through on issue resolution. • Communicate clearly with clients and contractors during installation and commissioning phases. • Ability to document and escalate safety concerns. • Be available to our Lifecycle department after plant commissioning is completed to help troubleshoot issues if needed. • Provide site hands-on training to the operators. • Collect and manage field data, photos, and notes for project closeout documentation. • Maintain accurate travel logs, Daily Site Journals, expense reports, and timesheets. • Provide feedback to improve engineering, manufacturing, or FAT processes based on recurring issues. • Perform other related duties as assigned. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and Experience Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, or five years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Communication Skills • Ability to read and understand technical documentation and instructions. • Comfortable interacting professionally with clients, contractors, and internal teams. • Clear written communication skills for reporting, email correspondence, and documentation. Workers can be exposed through contact with wastewater, aerosols containing pathogens, or contaminated equipment. Wastewater treatment processes also involve the use of various chemicals, some of which can be toxic or corrosive. It is imperative that employees wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow safety protocols. While not mandatory, it is also highly recommended that employees stay current with vaccinations, including Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Tetanus, and Diphtheria.
