Beautiful WRX Wagon in need of more love than I'm willing to give it. Immediate issues: CEL caused by a misfire in the engine: You'll need to get the air intake back to stock or find a way to get a tune. I changed out the original intake due to it being damaged but the aftermarket one is affecting the engine performance. Rust: You'll need to change out the brake hard lines, they've rusted pretty badly. The rear quarter of the car has significant rust issues, which is common for this Subaru generation, especially if they were being used up north (This car came from Vermont). Ball bearings and ball joints: these need to be replaced as well. I've tried replacing them myself but the rust complicated the entire process. You might need to get the knuckle changed out to get these parts replaced. Shifting: The shifting on this car is a bit weird, it takes a little longer than usual for the car to set into gear (Might be a clutch issue, something to do with the syncros or perhaps the transmission itself). There's also a good amount of shifter slop but that would be repaired with a new shifter u-joint. The engine turns over and runs but the intake causes misfiring on warms starts and occasional poor performance while driving. There's a small oil leak, so be sure to keep an eye on your oil levels. The FM Radio and Casette player work but the CD Player recently stopped working. It's a beautiful and fun car to have but I'm not looking to pour any more money into it.
