The Associate Designer will work closely with the Design Director on the development of the line.   Responsibilities: Support the Creative Director with the design process from initial inspiration to final production Communicate daily with sales and production to ensure design sheets are being completed properly and in a timely manner Create and execute on the vision of the Creative Director, ensuring that the product is consistent with market trends, while defining the brand identity and overall business strategy Develop Design sheets in Exenta (PLM System) Update reorder bodies with new ideas while incorporating upcoming trends Source trims, prints and novelty fabrics with venders/In the market Choose matching linings Set up new silhouettes in prints and new fabrications in our in-house sewing room to get cut and sewn Support the head designer in creating and organizing a cohesive line Create inspiration boards     Requirements Minimum 3+ years of fashion design experience Preferred background in daytime dress design Knowledge of garment construction and patterns Proficient with Microsoft Excel Strong written and verbal communication; self-starter and proactive worker Enthusiastic and team-oriented with sense of urgency Knowledge of Exenta is not required, but is definitely a plus Basic knowledge of Pattern construction would be great, but not required Must be fluent in Photoshop and Illustrator; experience working in Procreate would be great, but not required Must be proficient in creating tech packs Must have a strong understanding of placement prints, including how to effectively layout prints within garment patterns to maximize fabric yield Must be able to sketch (Flats/Floats) in Procreate or Illustrator Learns quickly and eager to learn all parts of the industry Must have an eye for Merchandising, Assorting Fabrics/Garments accordingly Must be comfortable with long hours, if needed Portfolio preferred! The salary range for this full-time role is dependent upon experience between $70-80k. Position: Sweater Designer – BCI Brands Responsibilities: Design and develop tech design packs to request prototype samples Ensures sample yarns are ordered, dyed, and lab-dipped to create showroom samples for the sales team Sources appropriate yarn qualities Create layouts for patterns, stitches, and garment construction as needed Manages the yarn library, swatches, and organizational needs alongside an assistant Mentors and leads assistant-level designers, helping to cultivate the next generation of design talent   Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in the sweater design industry Exhibits a strong work ethic, leadership skills, high energy level, organizational abilities, and attention to detail. Possesses strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. Demonstrates strong technical knowledge in sweater making, including expertise in yarn qualities, sizes, knitting techniques, and stitches. Comprehends fully fashioned sweater construction and fit Exhibits strong illustrative skills for technical flats Proficiency in Excel, Illustrator, and Photoshop, with Procreate being an asset. Capable of multitasking and working cross-functionally with multiple teams. Able to work independently and as a team player  Capable of effective correspondence with overseas factories The salary range for this full-time position ranges from $80,000-$100,000, depending on applicant's level of experience. THE ROLE: Assistant Designer, Sportswear This role is ideal for someone early in their fashion career who’s eager to learn, support senior designers, and contribute to the full design process—from concept through production. The Assistant Designer will work closely with the Design Director on the development of the line. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the design and development of women’s sportswear from concept to production Support in building design boards, sketching flats, and updating tech packs Help organize and maintain design sheets and seasonal line plans Research trends, colors, and materials relevant to the active and sportswear market Source fabrics, trims, and prints from vendors with guidance from the senior design team Assist in sample development by preparing materials and tracking sample progress Set up new styles with updated fabrics and prints for sampling (in our house sample room) Creating cad decks for sales with notes from buyers.  Input sample data into asset manager Stay organized with fabric swatches, trims, and internal files Requirements Minimum 2+ years of fashion industry experience (internships count!) preferably in sportswear or active categories Must have experience in cut and sew wovens and knits Degree in Fashion Design or related field preferred Basic understanding of garment construction and patterns Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; knowledge of Procreate a plus Familiarity with tech packs and PLM systems (Exenta knowledge is a bonus) Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to sketch flats and design concepts digitally Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a team-first mindset Portfolio required (student or professional work welcome) The salary range for this full-time role is dependent upon experience between $50,000 -$55,000.
