Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization: This role will successfully combine Reebok’s brand DNA and market feedback to create innovative footwear designs that meet/exceed the needs and expectations of our consumer This level of designer Incorporates fresh, market-relevant ideas into designs that push design boundaries while remaining brand relevant This level of designer is mature enough to be the innovator, a broader thinker and category influencer This designer will build internal partnerships with PMs and Developers to ensure the team is successful   Key Responsibilities: Actively supports and participates in Seasonal Design Direction workshops, DIG offsites and other design events. Helps influence Creative Direction and DIG outcomes into actionable information that influences footwear Thorough knowledge of manufacturing, business and consumer needs. Breaks down complex problems to arrive at multiple solutions regardless of emotions (business first). Calls on experts if necessary Understands where to push/innovate Can prioritize product details that offer the greatest impact to achieve required TFOB Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of our industry, the competition, the consumer, product costing, product performance and manufacturability to formulate the best design outcome Expected to travel to Asia for development trips and domestic/international for trend research trips   Key Relationships: Capable of clearly guiding junior level designers. Has helped set category goals and is capable of guiding others toward achieving these goals Works well autonomously Accountable for partnering with Marketing and Product Development in conjunction with the Design Manager to make appropriate business and product ideation decisions. Supports and advocates for design process.  Offers recommendations for improvement of processes Meets key deadlines for projects and assures that direct reports (if applicable) are doing the same Has a solid understanding of the product creation process and timelines Maintains constant communication with all relevant team members to ensure smooth flow of information and creation process   Knowledge Skills and Abilities: Solid understanding of construction and process. Presentation drawings clearly illustrate design Intent with honest proportions and resolved details. Consistently applies color and materials relevant to brand, consumer & retail Aesthetics driven by Brand DNA, Seasonal Direction and functional/aesthetic desires of the consumer Solid experience with 2D/3D tech drawings. Mastered Tech Pack creation Understands the effects of subtle changes to benefit comfort & performance Prepares and delivers effective design presentations (visually and verbally) to all levels within the org Delivers presentations that are informative, concise and sell concepts effectively. Can read an audience and adjust in real time. Can debate concept direction and business need Can manage a heavy workload and leads by example Influential designer within category Knowledge of Reebok's consumer segments through involvement in consumer research, personal research, personal involvement in consumer segment. Retail knowledge based on personal and team retail visits Understanding of Brand DNA and consumer needs and consistently applies this knowledge to concepts. Understands manufacturing processes and cost drivers. Maintains constructive partnership with team and leadership Solid experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop. 3D CAD experience is a Benefit. Solid skills with rendering.  AI rendering skills are a plus Requirements Completed BA or Master's degree in Design 5+ years of experience within Athletic Lifestyle brand
