Public Safety Officer
Provides safety and security services which include the implementation and administration of programs that assist the campus community in maintaining order and/or improving the personal safety of the students, faculty, staff, guests, and property of the College. This is a full time benefits eligible hourly position. The starting salary range for the position is $24.47 - $30.59 per hour. Some of the hours worked could also qualify for hourly shift differential rates and weekend shift differential. Hours worked between 6 p.m. and 12 a.m: an additional $1.50/hr Hours worked between 12 a.m. and 7 a.m: an additional $3.00/hr Hours worked on weekends an additional $1.00/hr. Core Responsibilities Patrol campus buildings and grounds, in assigned areas by various means, to promote safety, identify unsafe conditions and suspicious activity, document violations of College policies and state laws, and respond to incidents and complaints as necessary. Respond to emergencies, serious incidents and requests for assistance. Serves as a first responder to fire alarms, medical emergencies and conflicts on campus.
