Position Overview: We are seeking Journeyman Electricians to join our growing team in Austin, TX. Our electricians install, maintain, and repair electrical power, communications, lighting, and control systems. As a Journeyman you will: Execute electrical wiring plans for lighting, intercom, and other systems Install electrical apparatus, fixtures, and alarm systems Install safety and distribution components (e.g., switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels) Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks, ensuring component compatibility Assemble and install conduits, then connect wiring through them Perform preventative maintenance by inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables Diagnose electrical hazards or malfunctions and repair or replace damaged units Requirements 5+ years of electrical experience in commercial or industrial settings Tenant Improvement experience (Class A) Ability to complete projects from start to finish independently Experience with lighting control systems Proficiency in conduit installation, wiring, panel systems, and troubleshooting Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record TDLR Journeyman Electrician License Willingness to pass a drug screening Tools & Equipment Used Drill & Impact Set Electrician tool pouch Pliers, Wire Strippers, Screwdrivers, Nut Drivers Ladders, Drywall Saw, Utility Knife, Levels Electrical Testers, Multimeter, Receptacle Tester Tape Measure, Paddle/Spade Bits, Markers Benefits At Edge Electric, we are committed to the well-being, professional growth, and financial security of our employees.
