Overview: The Delivery Specialist is responsible for delivering RVs to customers, providing comprehensive orientations on vehicle features and operations, and addressing any questions or concerns to ensure customer satisfaction.  Address all concerns if any with the service department to ensure the customer has a memorable experience as they take possession of their new recreational vehicle.  Job Responsibilities: Conduct thorough inspections of RVs prior to delivery to ensure they meet quality standards.  Verify that all systems and components are in proper working order and address any issues promptly. Delivery Coordination:  Coordinate delivery schedules with customers and ensure timely arrival at designated locations. Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any special requests or requirements. Customer Orientation:  Provide comprehensive orientations to customers upon delivery of their RVs, covering topics such as vehicle features, operation of systems (e.g., HVAC, appliances, electrical), maintenance guidelines, and safety protocols. Demonstration and Training:  Demonstrate how to operate RV features and amenities effectively, including slide-outs, leveling systems, awnings, entertainment systems, and more.  Offer hands-on training and answer any questions to ensure customers feel confident using their RVs. Retail Store Walk:  Walk the customer through the Camptown offering the proper accessories needed to use the RV.    Documentation and Paperwork:  Complete delivery documentation accurately, including delivery reports, inspection checklists, and customer sign-offs. Ensure all paperwork is processed in a timely manner and in compliance with company policies and regulations. Customer Support:  Serve as a point of contact for customers post-delivery, offering ongoing support and assistance as needed. Address any concerns or technical issues promptly and professionally, and escalate complex issues to the appropriate department. Relationship Building:  Foster positive relationships with customers by delivering exceptional service and demonstrating genuine enthusiasm for their RV lifestyle.  Follow up with customers after delivery to ensure satisfaction and encourage feedback. Customer Reviews:  Promote positive reviews by demonstrating a thorough walkthrough of the unit and ensuring the customer is satisfied with the entire buying process from start to finish. Final Hitch Demonstration: Demonstrate how to properly hitch the RV to the vehicle. Per policy disconnect hitch and have the customer hook to their unit without assistance (we do not hook the trailer up for the customer) Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training, certifications, or relevant college coursework in Business, Management, or RV operations is a plus. Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in RV operations, customer service, or a related field preferred; leadership or project management experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of RV systems, features, and safe towing procedures, with the ability to clearly educate and guide customers. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly, professional, and customer-focused demeanor. Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficient with basic computer systems, including Google Workspace and dealer management software (e.g., Sys2K). Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; must be comfortable operating RVs of varying sizes. Willingness to work weekends and flexible hours; occasional travel for deliveries may be required. Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, and climb ladders for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 75 pounds with assistance. Requires the ability to safely operate and maneuver RVs of various sizes, including hitching and unhitching procedures. Must have sufficient hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to demonstrate RV systems, operate tools, and complete inspections. Frequently required to work outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.). Must be able to visually inspect RV components and read gauges, labels, and documentation. Job Summary: The Delivery Specialist is responsible for ensuring a seamless and informative experience for customers receiving their new RVs. This role involves conducting detailed walkthrough demonstrations of RV features, guiding customers through accessory recommendations, and ensuring proper hitch setup and towing procedures. The specialist is also responsible for inspecting incoming units, maintaining a clean and organized delivery area, and ensuring all scheduled deliveries are ready for transfer. Strong communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, non-climate-controlled environment are essential. This position requires availability on nights and weekends and basic proficiency with computer systems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive walkthrough demonstrations of all interior and exterior RV features, ensuring customers understand proper operation, including filling and emptying holding tanks. Guide customers through CampTown Outfitters, recommending and selling accessories tailored to their specific needs. Perform and demonstrate proper hitch setup for travel trailers and ensure correct coupling procedures for fifth-wheel deliveries. Educate customers on the proper operation of their installed brake controllers for safe towing. Ensure the safe departure of the tow vehicle and attached RV from the delivery pad. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the delivery area, including proper stowage of power cords, dump hoses, and removal of any trash or debris. Ensure RVs scheduled for delivery the next business day are prepared and transferred to the designated delivery pad. Participate in daily department opening and closing procedures as outlined in company policy. Requirements Perform functional and visual inspections of new units arriving from the factory and maintain accurate documentation. Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment. High school diploma or GED required; one to three months of related experience and/or training preferred. Professional and customer-friendly demeanor. Strong communication skills. Availability to work nights and weekends. Basic computer proficiency, including Google Mail, Sheets, Docs, Calendar, Internet software, and Sys2K (Dealer Management Software).
