Goby Walnut & Western Hardwoods is seeking one part-time weekend shop / retail helper. Position is team oriented, forward facing, and can be very social. Duties include helping customers in the retail area, shop upkeep and light shop work, as well as processing short, highly figured boards and choice pieces for the website and to display in the retail space. Hours: Saturday 9-4 Potential for additional days depending on need / want and skillset Tasks: • Helping customers find the right piece for their project • Invoicing and quoting using outlook and quickbooks • Processing material – using machines such as the planer, jointer, radial arm saw, and bandsaw • Organize + stock retail racks and bins • Cleaning retail space Requirements: • 1 year experience with woodshop tools – planer, jointer, bandsaw, table saw, chop saw etc. • Experience with quickbooks + outlook a plus • Able to read a tape measure, • Able to lift 60 lbs or more • Positive attitude, social, demonstrated dependability, willing to work as part of a team • Must have reliable transportation Benefits: - 40% off material for personal projects - Use of woodshop Pay: $22 - $24 / hr Please Email Aaron with resume or short bit about yourself and what you’re looking for.
