Warehouse Specialist - Puget Sound Food Hub Cooperative (Mount Vernon)

Puget Sound Food Hub Cooperative is a dynamic, farmer-owned cooperative, delivering fresh, local food throughout Western Washington. Summary/Objective To ensure accurate, safe and sanitary intake, storage, aggregation, and loading of products while strengthening relationships with PSFH producers. Essential Functions • Intake any/all producer product deliveries according to PSFH procedures • Verify complete, accurate, and sanitary product intake for producer deliveries • Properly store, aggregate, and/or load producer products according to PSFH procedures • Ensure accurate and efficient product aggregation • Ensure accurate and efficient product check-off • Communicate to and assist Warehouse Lead with any/all product discrepancies or order adjustments • Ensure orders are complete, accurate and prepared for distribution according to PSFH procedures • Assist Warehouse Lead with maintaining safety, sanitation and daily maintenance checklists • Notify Management about any possible repairs/maintenance or safety issues immediately • Capable of lifting 50+ lbs • Safely operate warehouse equipment including forklift and pallet jacks • Other responsibilities as assigned Core Responsibilities • Execute all necessary product intake, storage, aggregation, and loading • Organize warehouse for effective, safe and sanitary intake and distribution • Prevent and resolve all possible customer service issues • Provide exceptional customer service to our producers and customers Competencies • Time Management • Organization Skills • Personal Effectiveness • Impeccable Service Skills • Problem Solving Skills Required Skills & Experience • HS Diploma or GED • 1+ year in highly organized and fast-paced work environment Schedule: - Full-time, non-exempt - X4 days per week, Sun-Th o Sunday 10-6p o Monday 3p-11p o Tuesday 10-6p o Thursday 3p-11p Compensation: $20/hour Reports to: Operations Manager
