Hi Violinists, Violists, and Entertainment Company in NYC putting together a String Trio project and looking for NYC string players who want to work with us to build an exciting String Trio to sell to talent buyers for: Concerts, Recitals, high-end Weddings, Corporate Events, and recording sessions. . Let’s put something exciting together, pick out great classical and pop repertoire (from Pachelbel & Vivaldi to The Beatles & Coldplay), and set up some rehearsals and exciting photo and recording/video sessions to sell to talent buyers for weddings and concert performances. . College Students enrolled in a music school OR Recent Grads - violinists, violists, and cellists are strongly encouraged to apply, especially if you want more experience in this area (weddings, private and corporate events, etc.) and want to grow with us and our company. . (Obviously sight-reading and musicianship are paramount.) . Please do NOT reply me if: 1. you live in NJ, LI, or Westchester 2. your schedule is not flexible WEEKNIGHTS and WEEKENDS (like when weddings, a rehearsal, and recordings happen?) 3. you’re already in a number of other music projects and ensembles making it difficult for you to commit, grow, and build with this project to start up a new string trio with us and make it difficult for us to schedule around you. . We are NOT interested in musicians for hire. Only those we can build a relationship with who aren’t already on call for a dozen other ensembles. Gig hustlers and gig roamers need not apply. Thank you. . - Pay is dependent on the event (but average between $100 - $500 per event) - Rehearsals will be infrequent (usually one or 2 a month and if a special performance requires one) and are NOT paid - A small stipend of $20 WILL however be given to cover your transportation needs to rehearsals, photoshoots, etc. - Photoshoots are also NOT paid - Video and Audio Recording sessions ARE paid at $100 each (for 2 to 3 hours) - A rehearsal will take place in Midtown Manhattan . Please reply with information about your experience (bio or resume) or what and where you’re studying, your availability weeknights and weekends, and a video (YouTube, IG, etc.) of you performing on your instrument (violin, viola, or cello). A contact email and social media handle would be appreciated. . * Note - you must be willing to commit to being available for at least 75 percent of gigs (in the NYC tri-state area) over the next year or two as we grow this thing. I don’t want to have to hire ringers all the time. . Serious inquiries only please.
