Warp Detour, a high-energy punk rock cover/tribute band, is looking for a skilled drummer to fill our lineup. We play songs from NOFX, Bad Religion, Face to Face, Strung Out, No Use for a Name, Rancid, and more. What we’re looking for: Tight, fast playing with strong control of dynamics Expert (or near-perfect) D-beat execution Ability to mix in mid-tempo grooves to keep our set balanced Stage presence and a passion for live performance We’re all in our late 30s to mid-40s, gig regularly across Washington, and play to large, energetic crowds. We have a dedicated rehearsal space and a fun, professional vibe on and off stage. What does Semi-pro mean? Well, you aren't going to be quitting your job, but the band won't cost you anything in terms of travel and rehearsal space and you'll most likely end up with some spending money in your pocket after each gig after expenses. We do it for fun cause we like playing shows in front of a lot of people and love the music, but we also make enough to fund it and new equipment. Can you play the Decline all the way through? Do you have good gear and can learn new songs quickly? Did you grow up on Fat Wreck and Epitaph bands? This might be the band for you. These songs are generally fast and technical and for the most part we expect each other to learn the tracks at home and come to practice knowing them.
