Position Overview: Gallup Indian Medical Center (GIMC), a 74-bed hospital serving the Navajo Nation, seeks a dedicated OB/GYN Physician to provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services. This is a non-personal services contract position under the Indian Health Service, offering a chance to deliver high-quality, culturally sensitive care in a diverse and underserved community. Key Responsibilities Provide OB/GYN care to patients of all ages, including consultations to other providers. Conduct outpatient clinic sessions, evaluate patient concerns, diagnose, develop treatment plans, and educate patients/families. Prescribe medications in compliance with federal regulations and IHS protocols. Perform inpatient OB/GYN surgical services, including minimally invasive laparoscopic procedures. Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR). Participate in peer review, performance improvement programs, and adhere to departmental policies. Provide call coverage as assigned (weekday 24-hour call and weekend 72-hour call rotations). Requirements Qualifications Education: Doctor of Medicine with a current, unrestricted license in any U.S. state or territory. Board certification or eligibility by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Experience: 24+ months OB/GYN practice Technical Skills: BLS/ACLS certification EHR documentation expertise Compliance with all immunization requirements (MMR, Varicella, TB, Hepatitis B, Flu, Tdap/Td).
