$1000 Hiring Bonus - Asleep Overnight Home Care Aide (Bellingham/Ferndale/Lynden)

New hires receive a $500 bonus on their first paycheck, after successfully completing a two-day orientation. New staff receive an additional $500 after successfully completing a six-month probationary period. Please note, this bonus is for Home Care employees only. Two Pay Rates: $22.30-$27.18 and $18.66/hour when working asleep overnight hours in Bellingham, WA Or, $22.30-$27.18 and $16.66/hour when working asleep overnight hours outside Bellingham, WA Job Summary Provide compassionate, competent care services to individuals with disabilities and seniors in home settings. Assist each client with daily needs as specified in the individual’s Person Centered Service Plan. Duties may include personal care, housekeeping, companion care, and dementia care. Behave professionally and abide by the agency’s policies and procedures at all times. Requirements At least 18 years of age High school diploma or equivalent Effectively communicates and understands, reads, and writes in English Willing and able to follow Cascade Connections’ drug-free workplace policy and submit to for-cause drug testing Organized and efficient Able to work independently and in a group Able to perform the personal care and housekeeping tasks detailed in this document Able to fulfill non-standard work hours (at least one evening and one weekend) as needed by the program Able to work with a diverse set of clientele in various settings Treats all clients with respect and is able to relate in a warm and caring manner Physical Requirements Lifting, transferring, and positioning: up to 40 lbs, 1 or 2-person lifts may be required, in an emergency staff may be expected to move up to 100 lbs. Bending, scooping and reaching: assisting clients with physical therapy exercises, dressing, laundry and other household tasks. Transportation: Assisting clients in and out of vehicles, including those who use wheelchairs or other assistive devices.
