SOLID Wine Sales Position available with a very established Bay Area Wine Brokerage. We specialize in local Santa Cruz County small production wineries and we’re seeking a superstar to rock Santa Cruz and surrounding areas with these phenomenal local wineries. Proven sales experience and wine sales experience is required. We’ve 25 years in the local market under our belts as a successful independent and we’re very respected in the industry. Commission rate is competitive and commensurate with experience. This is an independent contractor position with expenses paid. Serious replies only with a cover letter germane to this post please. Our portfolio carries an emphasis on high quality and artisanal produced hand crafted wines from local small family Santa Cruz County producers at very competitive price points. The position comes with full office support, all the necessary samples, hard copy portfolios, active and established accounts, and a healthy target list with solid connections and established leads. This position requires a lot of go-getting and willingness to go after new business and build your territory from the ground up. A good car and knowledge of the Food and Wine industry in the respective territories is absolutely required as well as solid wine-knowledge, a firm grasp on how to close a sale, ability to manage, maintain, and grow multiple relationships effectively in a long-term scenario, excellent organization skills, and plenty of drive and passion.
