We’re not trying to make vegetables taste like fish; instead, we highlight their unique textures and bring out rich, vibrant flavors for an unforgettable dining experience. We’re seeking a passionate and experienced Vegan Sushi Chef ready to move beyond slicing fish and explore new culinary boundaries. Candidates must have open availability and be ready to start immediately. Responsibilities: - Managing inventory for our wide range of vegetables and other unique ingredients - Preparing all types of vegan sushi, including appetizers, nigiri, and hand rolls - Ensuring quality control with acute attention to detail in every dish - Complying with all nutrition and sanitation regulations - Fostering a positive, fun, and exciting environment through interaction with our guests and team - Handling prep and hourly seatings with a maximum of 12 guests per seating - Getting creative! Seeking an experienced, team-oriented sushi chef to fill our #2 spot as our head chef's assistant Moshi Moshi is a busy Japanese restaurant offering the best sushi in the heart of historic Ballard. We are looking for an experienced sushi chef to work directly under our Head Sushi Chef to help run our sushi bar. You will be responsible for ensuring all practices and standards set by our Head Sushi Chef are followed, as well as performing prep and service responsibilities yourself. Outstanding candidates will have a passion for food, cleanliness, customer service, and creating a positive working environment to provide our guests with the best dining experience. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes that delight our guests. This is a full-time position requiring approximately 40 hours per week. Evening and weekend availability required. In addition to base pay + tips we offer employer-paid telemedicine and EAP benefits, subsidized ORCA card (good for unlimited usage), paid sick leave leading to PTO benefits (upon qualifying).
