Opened in February 2013, The Mill is a joint venture between us, Four Barrel Coffee and Josey Baker Bread. We operate the café and provide hospitality, toast and coffee. JBB operates a thriving and delicious bakery that supplies us with fresh milled toast loaves, bread and pizza during the evenings. We collaborate day-to-day within the space and the vision, but operate as separate businesses. What are the responsibilities of the job? -handle money. -open or close the cafe, working with locks and alarms. -carry things, like crates of milk & coffee, up to 40 lbs. -taste a lot of coffee, both here and elsewhere. -learn about coffee, both here and elsewhere. -work food service / toast bar. -give outstanding customer service and hospitality. -contribute to a safe, welcoming, fun, and progressive workplace. -act as exemplary member of the café neighborhood and community. -support your colleagues and work together as a team. -do dishes. -clean everything. -welcome everyone. -be yourself. Is this a barista job? Do I need barista experience? This position is not just a barista job. Yes, barista experience is helpful, but not required, we can teach you that. We make drinks but we do more than that, we create an atmosphere and an environment where our neighborhood guests, our out of town guests and our co-workers feel welcomed and taken care of. You will be expected to give outstanding customer service, make delicious coffee and amazing toast, as well as doing everything that is in between. We are looking for applicants that want to work together as a team, expand their knowledge and grow within a company.
