Hotel Janitorial (Pismo Beach)

The Edgewater Inn and Suites is looking for an Houseperson! We are looking for someone who has a flexible schedule, is dependable and a people person. We have an established staff that works well as a team and works hard to provide the best customer service to our guests. Our guest’s customer service experience is our number one priority. Position is mostly janitorial but includes maintaining guest rooms, work areas, and public areas in a clean and orderly manner. Duties include sweeping/mopping, delivering cribs and roll-away beds, cleaning public restrooms, trash removal, and minor maintenance. Holidays and weekends are required. Candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment criminal background check upon offer of hire. • Clean common and maintain areas per hotel standards • Clean meeting room • Empty trash and recycling bins in all public spaces • Check stairwells for debris and trash • Deliver requested supplies to guest rooms, such as towels, cribs and rollaways • Minor maintenance capabilities • Remove linen from guest rooms • Move furniture, supplies, and equipment. • Assist other housekeeping employees in maintaining a clean and organized workplace, guest rooms, and public areas. • Carries out supervisor requests • Work in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment • Resolve any guest issue immediately • Good communication skills • Represents the hotel to the guest throughout any stage of the guest's stay • Requires walking and repetitive motions, and may on occasion have to lift and carry up to 50 pounds • Able to stand, sit, and walk, for majority of shift
