Job Summary: The Fool’s Lantern is looking for an energetic, self-motivated Front-of-the-House Server who thrives in both fast-paced and relaxed environments. We don’t micromanage—our servers are trusted to deliver exceptional guest experiences with creativity and autonomy. Whether it’s crafting the perfect cocktail, curating memorable service, or helping develop special events, you’ll have the freedom to bring your own twist to the role. Responsibilities: Greet and engage with guests to ensure a welcoming and enjoyable experience Take orders, serve food, and craft cocktails with precision and efficiency Maintain and oversee our wine and beer self-service walls Provide recommendations and upsell menu items, including food and drink pairings Handle cash and electronic payments accurately Complete side work, including but not limited to cleaning, restocking, and regular maintenance Take initiative in creating special events and unique experiences that drive revenue Problem-solve and adapt service approaches to ensure seamless guest interactions Communicate effectively with the kitchen staff regarding guest modifications, allergies, and menu availability Adhere to all food safety and alcohol service regulations Regularly lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally move up to 100 pounds Obtain TIPS Alcohol Certification within the first six months of employment if not already certified Qualifications: Must be at least 21 years old Prior serving experience preferred but not required Passion for hospitality, food, and beverage with a strong willingness to learn Entrepreneurial mindset with a knack for problem-solving and guest engagement Strong multitasking skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment Must demonstrate reliability, trustworthiness, and a team-oriented attitude Own transportation required Dress Code: Must purchase and wear a branded shirt provided by the restaurant Slip-resistant dark-colored shoes required Dark jeans, slacks, knee-length shorts, or a knee-length skirt (business casual) Aprons provided by The Fool’s Lantern Join Our Team! MRDC serves as Caroline, Cecil, and Kent Counties’ official Community Action Agency. The Head Start Teacher develops and implements individual education plans for children, which help them to develop socially, intellectually, physically, and emotionally in a manner appropriate to their stage of development.
