Job Summary: The primary responsibility of this position is to provide exceptional customer service while preparing and delivering drinks to guests, answering guest questions pertaining to the beverage menu, and continuously upholding all beverage and service brand standards. Master both hot and cold Blu Jam Cafe beverage recipes 2. Stock coffee product 3. Inform General Manager when stock of any item is low 4. Stock juices (label and date) and tea 5. Make iced tea 6. Clean beverage refrigerator 7. Stock take-out supplies 8. Follow all beverage recipes in accordance with SOP’s 9. Use thermometer when steaming milk products 10. Espresso machine: wipe down and clean twice daily with recommended detergent to include group head and auto cleaning feature 11. Manage the restock of all delivered coffee and tea products while rotating stock 12. Retain product packing slips and forward to MOD 13. Keep Barista area stocked with glassware, coffee cups, and mugs 14. Keep mugs neatly stacked 15. Always maintain a clean station 16. Have red sanitizer buckets on hand while changing sanitizer every two hours 17. Clean steam wand between every use with a separated sanitizer bucket for milk products only 18. Measure all milk servings with measuring cup 19. Communicate with the kitchen team regarding inventory of apples and oranges 20. Clean and mop floor clean behind the Barista bar 21. Restock all powder products 22. Grind and maintain stock of decaf espresso 23. Clean tea baskets and French press plungers by soaking every Monday and polishing every Tuesday after the soak 24. Stop steaming milk at 140 degrees, so it does not scald 25. Gloss all foamed milk at the finish of steaming process 26. Finalize 3rd party orders with proper beverage items and triple check all tickets before handing to driver 27. Manage all delivery and take out items 28. Stock ice and keep ice bin clean 29. Clean all juicing machines daily at the end of service 30. Deep clean the top of the orange juicer once a week 31. Secure-it sticker the tops of all take out beverages 32. Prep large batch espresso for cold beverages 33. Assist in running beverages when time allows Side Work / Running Side Work 1. Keep juice and coffee fully stocked 2. Clean Barista fridge; stainless steel, countertops 3. Restock glassware and ice 4. Update kitchen on take-out and delivery issues 5. Restock Pellegrino and Panna waters 6. Restock Mexican Coke and cane sugar Sprite 7. Inform MOD immediately for any espresso machine issues 8. Run Barista drinks whenever possible Side Work / Running Side Work 1. Keep juice and coffee fully stocked 2. Clean Barista fridge; stainless steel, countertops 3. Restock glassware and ice 4. Update kitchen on take-out and delivery issues 5. Restock Pellegrino and Panna waters 6. Restock Mexican Coke and cane sugar Sprite 7. Inform MOD immediately for any espresso machine issues 8. Run Barista drinks whenever possible Certifications 1.
