This highly important position will be responsible for assisting and working with the owners of the Filippi’s Pizza Grotto location in Mission Valley. The position is mostly comprised of being the backbone of the service, which will require a broad knowledge of our menu, restaurant procedures, and understanding of how to assist with the work flow of full- service dining and takeout service. Listed below are the requirements for this role, as well as some bullet points to summarize some of the responsibilities that this position will be accountable for: Requirements 1. At least 3 years of restaurant experience in full-service 2. Excellent verbal communication, and the ability to convey important information clearly and effectively 3. Availability to work within opening hours (e.g. evenings, holidays, weekends) 4. Ability to cover long hours on their feet and endure a potentially stressful environment 5. Must work well under pressure and maintain composure in all situations 6. Must have familiarity with point of sales systems (POS) Duties: 1. Proficiently assist in all areas of service (i.e. seating guests, running food, answering phone calls, bussing tables, cashiering etc.) 2. Ensure the best possible overall guest experience by performing excellent floor management 3. Ensure that the restaurant is within the food safety and sanitation guidelines set by the city and state 4. Ensure that the restaurant is clean and presentable at all times 5. The Mentoring Center Youth Life Coach/Case Manager The Mentoring Center is seeking a Youth Life Coach/Case Manager to join our team! About The Mentoring Center Founded in 1991, The Mentoring Center is an organization based in the community and created to serve and support youth and young adults through Transformative MentoringTM. TMC provides: 1) direct service to young people, with a specific focus on those who are systems-impacted; 2) training, technical assistance and program design support to individuals and youth serving organizations and institutions, and; 3) policy advocacy for those policies directly impacting our youth and young adults, including but not limited to policies for violence prevention, health and wellness, juvenile justice, and school pushout. The well-being of advocacy on behalf of and opportunities for our youth and young adults are at the center of our work. About the Role The Youth Life Coach/Case Manager position is responsible for the provision of Life Coach/Case Management and follow-up services and will prioritize serving female youth aged 14 – 18. This position requires an individual who is detail-oriented, deadline-driven, communicative, self-motivated, and collaborative.
