Assistant Manager for Macro Meal Prep SD PART TIME (Downtown San Diego)

PART TIME: Sundays 9:30AM- 5:30PM and Mondays 6:00AM-3:00PM Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and organized Assistant Manager to oversee daily operations at our meal prep company. The ideal candidate will manage kitchen workflows, staff coordination, supply chain logistics, and customer satisfaction, ensuring smooth and efficient operations while maintaining high standards for food safety, quality, and service. Operations & Production: Oversee daily meal prep production, packaging, and delivery processes. Ensure food is prepared according to health, safety, and quality standards. Manage kitchen schedules to ensure timely preparation and fulfillment of orders. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate procurement of ingredients and supplies. Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste. Team Management: Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise kitchen and operations staff. Conduct regular performance reviews and staff meetings. Foster a positive, collaborative, and safe work environment. Resolve any staffing or scheduling conflicts promptly. Customer Experience: Oversee customer service processes and resolve escalated customer issues. Ensure orders are accurate and delivered on time. Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements to enhance satisfaction. Qualifications: Proven experience in food service management, hospitality, or meal prep industry. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food service. Experience with inventory management and procurement. Proficiency in operations software and spreadsheets (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets). Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if needed. Preferred Qualifications: Culinary background or training is a plus. Experience with delivery logistics or subscription-based food businesses. Familiarity with nutrition and dietary guidelines.
