Full Time Front of House Manager (Fort Greene)
Dino Restaurant, a beloved neighborhood Italian spot in the heart of Fort Greene, is looking for an experienced, proactive and collaborative Front of House Manager to join our team.
About the role:
The Front of House Manager will be responsible for leading and overseeing our front-of-house staff, ensuring exceptional service, and maintaining a positive work environment. You will manage the host stand/reservations, floor staff, main dining room, private dining room, delivery platforms and guest interactions. You will also take on moderate daily administrative duties such as: payroll entry, inventory, scheduling, hiring, training, staff performance, social media and private event correspondence while ensuring that day-to-day operations run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
-Lead by example to maintain a positive, energetic atmosphere
-Manage FOH operations, including the host stand, dining room, delivery, staff and guest interactions
-Oversee, train, and develop front-of-house staff, ensuring top-tier service standards.
-Handle daily/weekly administrative duties such as scheduling, payroll data entry, floor staff oversight, email correspondence and light inventory
-Conduct pre-shift meetings and provide continuous feedback and coaching to the team
-Ensure guests have a flawless experience, from table touching to resolving concerns quickly and professionally
-Manage and staff on site private events as needed
-Collaborate closely with the kitchen and owners to ensure smooth, efficient service
-Proactively contribute to the ever-changing needs of the restaurant
Qualifications:
-Passionate about customer service, food, and hospitality
-1+ years of restaurant management experience, 3+ hospitality experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment
-Proven leadership, communication skills and a growth mindset
-Experience managing a team, conducting training, and fostering a positive work culture
-Maintain a calm, professional demeanor while handling stressful situations
-Strong organizational skills, with a knack for handling multiple tasks at once
-NYC Food Handlers Certificate or willingness to obtain one required
-Tips Certified a plus
