We are currently looking for customer service minded individuals who are friendly, great team players, and ready to greet our guests at the front door. Created by the family who developed PIER 39, our history spans over four decades and includes three generations. Family owned and operated, you can expect to meet members of the Simmons family in our dining room. For more information please visit simcorestaurants.com We are looking for Front Desk Staff with the following qualifications: -Friendly, outgoing and energetic -Prior customer service experience -A great team player -Thinks and acts guest first -Understands the importance of customer service -Enjoys working in a fast paced environment -Experienced with a digital reservation system Duties and Responsibilities: • Greets each customer in a friendly manner; • Provides prompt and attentive service to customers; • Merchandises menu, daily specials and specialty drinks; • Ensures that tables are clean and properly set-up before seating customers; • Maintains customer waiting list and server chart to ensure that customers are evenly distributed among servers whenever possible; • Answers phones in a friendly manner and takes accurate and complete and accurate messages. • Communicates immediately with management regarding any customer problem or complaint; • Pays attention to customer and employee safety by helping to eliminate unsafe or hazardous conditions as they occur; • Cooperates with management by performing any other duties when asked to do so; • Constant (more than 2/3 of the time) standing, reaching, handling, hearing and seeing; • Frequent (1/3 to 2/3 of the time) walking, carrying, feeling, wrist rotation and talking; • Occasional (up to 1/3 of the time) sitting, lifting (up to 25 lbs.), pushing, pulling, balancing, bending, stooping, crouching, back rotation and operating controls; and • Other duties as assigned. Key Duties and Responsibilities: General Operations Support production staff when technical issues arise, perform root-cause analysis on said issues, and implement quality solutions in a timely manner.
