Spectrum Comm Inc. seeks a full-time, exempt Technician Specialist to provide technical support for IBDSS environments at Lackland AFB, Texas. The role requires a broad knowledge of information technology equipment and network theory spanning routers, switches, desktop environments, configuration, and storage. The Specialist will ensure the operational integrity of supported network architectures while delivering expert guidance to field units on testing, troubleshooting, and installation/maintenance procedures. Key Responsibilities Provide technical advice and guidance on testing, troubleshooting hardware/software malfunctions, and installation/maintenance procedures for IBDSS environments. Communicate with worldwide customers to facilitate repair, replacement, or reconfiguration of faulty equipment or networks. Research and resolve technical inquiries; interface with outside distributors, customers, and support organizations on IBDSS-related issues. Determine appropriate levels of spare parts and provide technical input to spares purchasing processes. Inspect received equipment for damage and accurately identify type and origin. Advise on assurance testing to ensure repaired items are returned to fully functional status. Recommend substitute parts, system upgrades, alternate suppliers, and configuration changes in response to obsolescence, supplier loss, or technology changes affecting availability. Stennis Space Center, Mississippi, United States Overview Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Observational Systems Engineer to support the Ocean Sciences Branch of the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) at the Stennis Space Center. The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting research and development activities, specializing in the preparation, deployment, recovery, and maintenance of advanced oceanographic instrumentation systems. This position requires active participation in sea-going research cruises, both domestic and international, and will provide the opportunity to contribute directly to critical oceanographic field experiments. Assistant Manager, Preconstruction
As Scoutʼs Assistant Manager of Preconstruction, you will play a pivotal role in the development, design and construction planning of Scoutʼs utility-scale wind, solar and battery energy projects. You will take ownership and lead the engineering, procurement, and construction planning scope of work for assigned projects from early development through to notice to proceed (aka the preconstruction phase). You will develop relationships with technical consultants and manage them closely to deliver technical work products. You will report to Scoutʼs Senior Manager of Preconstruction and may be assigned other duties to support Scoutʼs growth as technical experts in renewable energy. Your attention to detail and ability to concurrently drive multiple work streams forward on time and on budget will be key to your success. Your technical knowledge of utility- scale wind, solar and BESS plants and your ability to communicate with audiences who have a wide range of technical proficiency will determine your effectiveness in this role. You must have the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams whose success depends on soliciting and integrating the technical expertise of every member. Preconstruction Responsibilities At the outset of your engagement on each project, you will work closely with the multidisciplinary Scout team to define project constraints and prioritize metrics for the projectʼs success. Through the process you will be expected to communicate clearly and frequently and represent Scout effectively and professionally with a variety of project partners and stakeholders.
