Our client, a biotech in Waltham, MA is seeking a Temporary Facilities Assistant ASAP. This full-time, 100% onsite role provides daily support to the Site Operations department within a dynamic lab and office environment in Waltham. Beginning ASAP and lasting through February 13th (with potential for extension), the position requires availability from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM and offers a pay rate of $25/hour. The selected candidate will support a broad range of operational and administrative functions, including mailroom tasks, meeting and event setup, facilities coordination, and laboratory glassware handling. Physical aspects of the job include regular lifting (up to 50 lbs) and walking throughout the facility. Core Responsibilities: Set up and break down conference rooms and events, including furniture configuration and equipment arrangement. Monitor space capacity and assist with planning and layout recommendations. Maintain inventory and restock kitchen and office supplies. Supervise onsite vendors and support basic facilities maintenance (e.g., plant watering, shredding). Handle glassware collection, washing, and autoclaving for lab areas. Perform routine mailroom tasks and provide general assistance to the Site Operations team. Required Qualifications: Associate's Degree or higher preferred. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, with lab support experience highly valued. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong customer service skills, reliability, and discretion.
