Bookkeeper/ Senior Accountant (new york city: manhattan)

My client, a boutique real estate tax law firm, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. Reporting directly to the COO, this role will be responsible for full-cycle accounting for both the business and the firm's ownership, including AP, AR, cash accounting, payroll coordination, and monthly financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience, be highly trustworthy and organized, and enjoy working independently in a small, team-oriented environment. Strong Excel skills are required, and experience with QuickBooks is preferred, as the firm is transitioning from Peachtree and implementing Bill.com. This role includes overseeing contingency billing, collaborating with a long-tenured bookkeeper, and managing a mix of business and personal financial tasks. The company has under 100 employees and offers a collegial, business casual work environment with thoughtful perks like daily free lunch. This is a fully on-site position (Monday-Friday, 9-5), with the first 2-3 weeks remote for onboarding. Salary is competitive at $100K-$125K with excellent benefits and long-term stability.
