**DOG WALKER/ PET SITTER NEEDED** Adventures in Dog Walking is a Bay Area based company established in 2008 by my Wife and I out of a desire to give dogs the care they deserve! We operate in San Francisco and Oakland/East Bay providing group walks, pet sitting, one-on-one and group training. We walk in public wooded parks and use our personal vehicles to transport dogs from their homes to and from the park. We are looking for a trustworthy and responsible individual that we can grow and build with as we are an expanding business! -we are looking to fill this position on a 2-3 day a week basis as well to someone who would be open to working more days when we are unavailable /out of town. This position is in the Oakland / Berkeley area where group and private walks are conducted Monday - Friday. The group walk hours are 9:30AM-1PM followed by private walks from 1:30PM-2:30PM. -We are looking for some one to work 2-3 days a week starting at 22/hr, mileage reimbursement, sick leave and available retirement plan with the opportunity to add more days as you get trained. We also offer opportunities for additional work through additional private walks and pet sitting. Time off with ample approved notice is fine. -YOU MUST HAVE YOUR OWN VEHICLE CAPABLE OF TRANSPORTING 6-8 DOGS TO AND FROM THE PARK!! Must have a clean driving record with a valid CA drivers license. Must be open to a background check. -Must be physically able to walk for 1 hour and handle a pack of 6-8 dogs of various sizes. You MUST love the outdoors as we walk rain or shine. -We require you be able to safely pet sit up to 2 dogs at a time at your home. We would like someone with pet care experience and will give preference to those applicants. Must be patient and pay great attention to detail. Must have an absolute love and passion for working with puppers! We are a small family owned company and enjoy a great relationship with our clients. Electrician – Teacher needed for Tiny House Class This is kind of a long post. So sorry. I have a really cool opportunity for just the right person. I am a carpenter in Sebastopol. I have a carpentry school that I have been doing now for the 4th season. This year I am teaching a class called “How to Build a Tiny House” The class sold out immediately and we are 2/3rds finished with the build. The class is divided into 8 “modules” We just finished the 5th module which was “Plumbing” The next module will be “Electrical” I am the teacher for all the building but although I do do my own plumbing and some electrical, I don’t feel qualified to “teach” these classes. I found an amazing plumber who participated teaching the class with me and overseeing all the work we did. I now need an electrician to do same. Here is how the class works. The class spans 2 weeks. Classes are from 10am – 5 pm Thursday Friday Saturday and Sunday. Each week. The dates for this session will be: Thursday October 9 Friday October 10 Saturday October 11 Sunday October 12 Thursday October 16 Friday October 17 Saturday October 18 Sunday October 19 This is an extraordinary position for the right person. I envision this being either a retired “old timer” who still wants to get their hands dirty once in a while passing on their lifelong knowledge to eager adults working hard to learn all aspects of building your own tiny house. Or someone who owns their own company so they would have flexibility to set their own hours to work around these 8 class dates. This person would come to our class for only two hours in the morning, from 10 am – 12 noon, to teach. 4 new students each day. Then the last hour from 4pm-5pm “inspecting” our work. The first hour would be beginning electrical system concepts and some info on how to plan an electrical system for a small dwelling. Then the second hour would be some hands-on skill building.I will provide all supplies and tools for class. Obviously, we can’t that cover much in 2 hours. For the plumbing class we discussed the general principals of a house plumbing system then we did some hands-on skills. Then the teacher gives us a project to do in the house so we can get experience with the lessons we learned with actual installation of our electrical system in my tiny house. For example, class would cover the installation of romex and electric boxes and switches and lights. The teacher would then come back at 4pm for one hour walk through checking our work and critique. The class is mostly adults over 50. There are 32 students. 4 different students each of the 8 days. We cover the same material each day. Very easy and fun. We are looking for experienced Insulation/Weatherization Crew Leaders. Schedule is Mon-Fri 6:30-3:30 +/-, with a possible weekend if you choose to work. We are a retrofit weatherization company, working mainly on residential and occasionally commercial buildings. All employees must report to work at our shop location in Loudon NH, materials and supplies will need to be loaded on the trailers for that day’s work prior to leaving for the job. We provide transportation to the job sites. A DOT medical card would be a plus, as well as any other certifications in this field. We are looking to hire an additional paint shop assistant. We custom make kitchens, vanities, built-ins, closets and many more things. Everything is prepped and spray finished in house. Your daily tasks would be to prep and sand cabinet frames, sand doors, tape off cabinets and get them ready to go into the spray booth. This job is a 40-hour position, 5 days a week. No weekends.
