I recently purchased this R5 frameset from the original owner. I just set it up on my trainer to get a feel for how it would fit me. After some tinkering, it became apparent that this frameset will not fit me (at least not without spoiling it's awesome looks) It's in great shape with less than 3k miles reported from the previous owner. There are a few minor imperfections which I tried to point out. Some of the imperfections are on the protective clear guard and not the finish itself. The owner had applied the protective clear guard on the seat stays, the down tube and chains stays. There is a little chain scuff, that almost looks like it would wet sand out. There is very little crown abrasion which you usually see on any ridden bike, so that was surprising. None of these imperfections are immediately noticeable. The frame set is in fine shape which is one of the reasons I was interested in this R5. A huge plus on this frameset is that the steerer tube was never cut! - so you essentially have a start from new frameset. The Cervelo bars, stem, and all spacers are present, bars 42cm, stem is 110mm. Bottom bracket is included and in perfect shape. Specialized mirror saddle included as well. Crazy light at 705g for the frame, and also quite aero for an all purpose climbing bike. Much nicer looking and more aero than the Aethos which this can be easily built to similar weight. I am bummed this didn't work out, hoping to pass on to someone who can do the build and enjoy the ride quality that this bike has been known for. Contact me with any questions, but I will not answer "is this still available" if the post is up, it's still available. I prefer to communicate using CL e-mail only. related framesets: Aethos, Soloist, Caledonia, S5, Tarmac SL8, Orbea, Canyon
