In this role, the Punch Machine Operator will be responsible for preparing, loading, operating, and maintaining punch equipment to ensure product quality and efficiency. Duties & Essential Job Functions: Operate and monitor punch production machines according to defined specifications. Understand and execute the entire range of machine functions and operating sequences. Load materials onto machines in the required order and sequence. Read job specifications and previous run data to set machine parameters and material requirements. Perform maintenance following proper Lockout/Tag-out procedures. Meet or exceed job standards for line speeds, scrap rates, and setup times. Load and unload stock efficiently and safely. Maintain department inventory and supplies, ensuring everything is accounted for. Report any maintenance needs to the Maintenance Department promptly. Collaborate with the Quality Assurance department to ensure product specifications are met. Complete all required documentation and data entry accurately and in a timely manner. Verify material conformance to specifications using measuring devices such as micrometers, tape measures and calipers. Maintain cleanliness of the work area and equipment, ensuring a safe and organized workspace. Verify that guards at pinch points and potential burn areas are present before operating the machine.
