Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough inspections of installed systems, verifying proper installation of components such as speaker wiring and network cables. System Configuration: Set up and configure all system components, ensuring optimal performance and integration. Client Interaction: Act as the final interface with clients, providing comprehensive demonstrations and explanations of their new systems to ensure satisfaction and ease of use. Troubleshooting: Serve as the first and last line of defense for system issues, promptly addressing and resolving any technical challenges that arise. Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in smart home system installation and programming, particularly with Control4 and Lutron systems. Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming home automation systems; strong understanding of audio/video signal flow and networking. Customer Service: Demonstrated ability to interact professionally with clients in their homes or businesses, with a focus on delivering exceptional service. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently. Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to system setup and quality assurance, ensuring all components function seamlessly. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying technical information to non-technical clients. Physical Requirements: Ability to work in various environments, including attics and crawl spaces; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. Your technical expertise will directly influence product development and roadmaps, helping to drive innovation and ensure our solutions meet the evolving needs of mission-critical defense programs.  Key Responsibilities:  Design, configure, and implement network and switching solutions in mission-critical defense systems.  Evaluate and integrate commercial and custom switch/router hardware into secure system architectures.  Own roadmaps for our commercial switch products, taking in requirements from multiple stakeholders in the organization.  Drive development of our switch products to a production schedule, working with the engineering team to overcome obstacles, make implementation trade-offs, and provide technical direction.  Develop and document system architectures, network diagrams, and data flows.  Support lab and field testing, including test plan development and execution.  Analyze performance and reliability metrics, recommending enhancements where needed.  Interface with customers and stakeholders for technical discussions, design reviews, and requirement clarifications.  Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.  Hands-on experience designing, building, and testing custom embedded switch products. Strong knowledge of Layer 2/3 networking protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, STP, OSPF, etc.).  Experience with network configuration tools, packet analyzers, and diagnostic equipment.  Understanding of DoD systems, requirements, and acquisition lifecycle.  U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a [Secret/Top Secret] security clearance.  Preferred Qualifications:  5+ years of experience in systems or network engineering, ideally in a defense or aerospace environment.  Experience with VICTORY or CMOSS standards.  Experience developing custom switch hardware solutions.  Familiarity with embedded systems and real-time environments.  Prior work on ground vehicles, avionics, or tactical systems.  Experience supporting RMF/IA activities for networked systems.  Hands-on experience with enterprise and embedded switches/routers (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Curtiss-Wright, VICTORY standards).  Benefits Pacific Defense provides competitive salaries and immediately vested 401K match. This position reports to the Manager of Network Services and will manage all aspects of the project including vendors and consultants to achieve goals on all the network projects with an enthusiastic willingness to contribute. The Senior Network Engineer must have rich experience managing enterprise networks, architecture design, implementation, migration, and operation management, which may involve the following technologies: LAN, WAN, Wireless, Network Security, Audio Visual, Voice systems, Server/Storage/Backup systems, etc. This role must be able to gather IT requirements, build and manage schedules, coordinate with stakeholders, and create status reports. Develops and maintains productive working relationships with project sponsors, stakeholders and key Business users. Facilitate efficient communication across all levels of a project & stakeholders involve ensuring consistency in reaching the project's goal. Works closely with the users and technology workstreams to identify requirements. Prepares cost estimates for staff resources, vendors, consultants, hardware, and service costs (i.e. WAN, Internet, voice circuits, etc.) Develop project plans, define team deliverables, and supervise the work of various team members. Conduct all aspects of project initiation, planning, execution, and closure for projects. Manage issues, risks, change controls, and status reporting. Requirements Bachelor’s degree  Japanese/English bilingual  3+ years of hands-on work within large-scale enterprise networking environments.  Fundamentals of Networking and demonstrated experience supporting large-scale enterprise network environments.  Good level understanding of TCP/IP routing and switching, along with network design best practices (CCNP Level)  Good level understanding of dynamic routing (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, etc.), Network Security (Firewall, NAC, etc.), Switching topologies on both Wired/Wireless networks, and Cloud/Virtual networking. (CCNP Level)  Experience writing technical specifications is recommended.
