Hi, I have available starting around August 1 a special rental. It's a large room with windows in a nice neighborhood, close to public transportation. There are some special conditions about this place, so please keep reading. Seeking: One person who is employed, busy outside the home, tidy, easy-going, trustworthy, kind. Rent: The rent is month-to-month, $1380 per month includes utilities and wifi, no security deposit required. About the neighborhood: The home is where Forest Hill and West Portal meet. It's a short walk to either West Portal Station or Forest Hill Station. It's at 12th Ave and Taraval. It's very quiet with all houses, schools, and virtually no nightlife. There is 2-hour parking restriction in the neighborhood. To park for longer, you'd need to get a permit from SFMTA. About the building: My family owns the building. It's a small apartment building, 4 units. There's a mix of family here, aunt, uncle, grandma brother, and a few tenants. There is laundry in the building and it's free to use. We share the wi-fi. About the apartment: The apartment is on the second floor. It is a 1 bed, 1 bath apartment. My father has been using the common area (usually what would be the living room area) as an office for 25 years. He does not live in the building, but lives in a house 2 blocks away. He's here very early in the morning, shuffling papers, writing emails, making calls, brewing coffee. Then, he gets ready to go to work at the restaurant between 10 and 11 AM. He's gone most of the day. He may return after work to catch up on more "paperwork." The bedroom, however, is totally available for a tenant to rent. We've had tenants here for 1 year, 5 years, 6 months... The bathroom and kitchen are easily available. There will be no other roommates spending significant time in the bathroom or kitchen. The main apartment door always remains open. Other people may come through to drop off receipts from the restaurant or to have a short meeting with Dad. About the room: The room is very nice. It has a closet with mirrored doors, plenty of space for a bed, desk, dresser and room to walk around. There are 3 sets of windows that let in plenty of light. The carpet is nice. It's a great place for someone who is a morning person, who is usually out and about, who likes to hang out in their room with their headphones on, and who is interested in saving some money by not renting a more expensive place.
