Available now. And we have another room available in a few days. We specialize in short term stays of a month up to three months...or longer. You can change your short term stay to a long term stay at a lower rate after two months if you choose to stay and all agree. We have had many here who start off with a short term stay and then decide to stay long term at the long term rate. So if you are one of these people, we are the perfect place to stay: --Someone relocating to Portland & needing a place to get their bearings & find a permanent place --Someone with a project here --A traveling medical professional, nurses, etc. --People getting medical treatment --An intern --Short term student coming for a class --A traveler wanting to visit someone for periods longer than a month The rooms are medium-sized rooms and come fully furnished, complete with a queen bed, night stands, dresser, desk, chair, TV, linens, towels and personal in-room safe. You just need your suitcase! They come complete with a great WiFi network, central air conditioning, and we replaced cable with YouTube TV, which has over 100 live channels. The WiFi network is all fiber optic. So with YouTube TV, you can also put it on your phone, tablet or laptop. The bathroom is shared with just one other person and you have your own separate entrance to it. The room has a locking door with a key. Entrance to the house is via keypad, with a key backup. We can do a video walk-thru if you like. The house itself is large and you have full run of the common areas, which is the fully-equipped kitchen, living and dining room, covered patio out back and the back yard with an outdoor barbeque and a place to leave your bike. We have a washer and dryer that are free to use...no quarters! The kitchen has plenty of space for your food, etc., and we have two fridges here, both with an icemaker. We provide lots of extras, such as paper towels, toilet paper, etc.. We have maids come in every two weeks for the common areas. Parking is on the street, but if you have a small car, there are two off-street parking spots. We are so close-in that a car isn't really needed much. The neighborhood itself is safe, quiet, leafy and fun. Very close-in in the Hawthorne area. Buses run in every direction and run every few minutes. To get downtown is just a couple miles. The area is loaded with shops, restaurants and food carts, all just a few blockswalk. Grocery stores are about a mile away. Very safe and quiet and beautiful. We want good people here and have no tolerance for those with drug or alcohol problems. Smoking is allowed outside. We like to keep a quiet, clean, affordable, comfortable and fun atmosphere here. We have a no-overnight guest policy. Single occupancy only. The rate is $1295 a month and a $500 deposit and there are no transient taxes since the stay would be a month or more. All utilities included. If you want to then turn your stay into a long term stay, and many do, the rate would drop to $1025 a month. Our short term rate is so much less than an extended stay apartment or extended stay hotel. You get a friendly, quiet, professionally-run place, with no pets, or kids or families or crazy rules to deal with. The landlord stops by a few times in the week and is very responsive to any and all concerns.
