London to Liverpool plays mostly early songs ( 1962 to 1968 ) and some lesser-known songs from bands that were part of the "British Invasion." Mostly songs by The Beatles and The Rolling Stones, but also a few by The Kinks, The Who, The Animals, and more. The lineup is currently guitar/vocals and bass/guitar with vocals ( if you play guitar AND bass, you two can switch off between the two on some songs, if you want ). We're looking to play out occasionally and have some fun! Rehearse weekly, until we get tight as a group. Our aim is to capture the spirit of that era, not to play the songs just like the recordings. We like to change some of them up a bit, like adding an extra solo. The setlist is open to changes and additions, but here are some songs that we've played together well ( as well as the songs on the ReverbNation site ): Money ( Stones version ) Where Have All the Good Times Gone Can't Explain Devil in Her Heart I Feel Fine Not Fade Away The Seeker Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood I Wanna Be Your Man ( Stones version ) I Want to Tell You Under My Thumb Street Fighting Man Hey Bulldog Rocks Off Honky Tonk Women London to Liverpool has one tentative booking, and has previously played a few local shows. We have connections to all of the street festivals for this summer/fall ( we got an offer for us to play at the Mississippi Street Fair, but we didn't have a full band together, so we had to pass ). Tell us a little about your experience level. Do you have any favorites from the set list? What are a few songs by these bands that YOU'D like to play? Any music links featuring your playing are appreciated.
