Primal Balance Nutrition is growing, and we’re looking for a reliable Dishwasher & Prep Cook to join our fast-paced, high-quality kitchen team. We serve fully organic, gluten-free, dairy-free, and allergen-friendly meals to clients across San Diego. Schedule: 📅 Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays ⏰ 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (depending on production flow) Pay: Starting at $20/hr Paid sick leave What You’ll Do: Wash and sanitize all dishes, cookware, and equipment Maintain a clean and organized kitchen (including floors, sinks, and surfaces) Assist with basic prep work: chopping, portioning, weighing, and washing produce Support cooking staff by restocking stations and organizing ingredients Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times Work with the kitchen team to keep operations efficient and flowing smoothly What We’re Looking For: Previous experience in a prep kitchen or commercial kitchen environment preferred Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work in a team setting Comfortable with fast-paced, high-volume workflow Able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for long periods Passionate about clean food and nutrition

The Wise Ox in North Park, part of the Trust Restaurant Group, is looking to add a Part Time Line Cook to the team. We are a full service butcher shop with a lunch line that produces 7 different burgers and sandwiches, all made from scratch. We do everything in house, from sauces to smoking, and have a high level of attention to small details. This is a fast paced environment that succeeds with a strong emphasis on teamwork, communication and respect. Expect between 3-4 shifts a week, with potential for additional shifts down the line. Pay ranges between $18-$20/hr depending on experience, not including the addition of hourly tips. Hours of operation are from 10am-5pm Sunday and Monday, and 10am-6pm Tuesday-Saturday. Shifts typically start between 9am-10am and end between 5:30pm-6:30pm, so no late nights! We look forward to hearing from you!

The night pitmaster position is one of the most important positions at our restaurant. You will be in charge of our two 1,000 gallon smokers as well as a good-sized prep list. Must have prep experience, solid knife skills, and a lot of self motivation as you will be working alone for a large part of the shift. This is a full-time position and we need someone that can work FIVE consecutive nights a week. Ideally, if hired you would work a week at the 4am-12pm shift, a week during the day, and then transition to the night shift from 6:30p-3a during your third week.
